Multiple boil-water advisories issued across Southern W.Va.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia American Water: has issued a precautionary boil-water advisory for approximately 600 customers in the Elkview/Clendenin area. The affected area includes Blue Creek Road, Wills Creek Road, Jordan Creek Road, W.Va. 119 North from R.O.P.E. Equipment (Jordan Creek Road) up to Hafer Funeral Home, Kelly Hill Subdivision and Twin Oaks Subdivision. The advisory follows a power outage at a booster station, which drained a storage tank. Customers in those areas should boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.

The Department of Health and Human Resources has issued boil-water advisories for the following areas:

Fayette County: Kanawha Falls Community Water Association, Kanawha Falls.

Greenbrier County: Browns Water System, White Sulphur Springs; Black Bear Lodge, White Sulphur Springs.

McDowell County: O'Toole Water System, Anawalt; Jenkinjones Community Water System, Jenkinjones; Keystone Municipal Water, Keystone; 3 Way Super Stop Water System, Iaeger.

Mercer County: Weyanoke Giatto Water System, Matoaka; Hiawatha Water Association, Hiawatha; Windmill Gap Water System, Rock; Pinnacle Water Association, McComas;

Raleigh County: Marfork Coal Company Office, Naoma; Marfork Coal Slip Ridge Mine, Naoma;

Summers County: The Village at Rock Ridge, Pipestem; River Rest Home Owners Association, Danville.

Wyoming County: Coal Mountain Public Service District Water System, Coal Mountain; Brookside Otsego Community Water in Mullens; Pierpont Public Service Water System, Pineville; Herndon Community Water in Bud; Green Camp Public Service District in Wyoming.

The Raleigh County Public Service District has issued a boil-water advisory for customers in the Cool Ridge area, which includes Egeria Road, Odd, Westview, Josephine, Besoco, Mead, Lego, Kilarney and East Gulf.

Customers in the above areas should also boil their water for at least one full minute prior to use until further notice.

The Raleigh County Public Service District has lifted a boil-water advisory issued for customers of the Arnett Water System.
