Nighttime parking change: Oct. 22, 2012
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Beginning today Monday, nighttime parking in downtown Charleston will change.
Between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. every night, drivers will be allowed to park in the right lane of Virginia Street East in the two blocks between Laidley Street and Capitol Street.
Drivers will no longer be allowed to park in the left lane of Virginia Street East from Laidley Street to Hale Street during those hours.
As a result of the change, drivers will see a net loss of three parking spaces. City Council members unanimously approved the change last week.
