South Charleston Chamber of Commerce: will hold a Boo Bash at 7 p.m. on Friday at Little Creek Country Club. The event will feature food, drinks, a costume contest, dancing, a silent auction, a photo booth and more. Tickets are $50 apiece, $85 per couple and $300 for a table of eight, and include food, wine and beer. Proceeds benefit the chamber's Educational Foundation. ThunderTones Chorus: will host a Singing Pancake Breakfast at Applebee's at the Huntington Mall from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday. Members of the Cabell Midland High School Collegium Musicum will serve the breakfast. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by calling 304-302-NOTE, from members of the ThunderTones Chorus, or at the door. The ThunderTones Chorus is part of the nonprofit Barbershop Harmony Society and rehearses every Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Barboursville.
Unitarian Universalist Congregation: will hold a Witchy Weekend Saturday and Sunday at 520 Kanawha Blvd. W., Charleston. Saturday activities include a Psychic Fair from noon to 5 p.m. (readings for $10), an invocation with drumming at 6:30 p.m. and the annual Witches' Ball, with live music, dancing and costumes, at 7 p.m. (admission $5, or $3 in costume). All proceeds benefit the congregation. On Sunday, congregants will observe Samhain at 7 p.m., with preparations beginning at 6:30 p.m. Participants should bring non-perishable food donations for Covenant House. A shared feast will follow the ceremony.
