A gospel sing: will be held 4 p.m. today at Cathedral of Prayer in Charleston to celebrate the Brighter Side Quartet's 40th Anniversary. Concessions will be available. Several groups will perform. The BrighterSide Quartet will also sing at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church, Hurricane; and 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Raymond City Community Church, Poca.

Heaven's Call Trio: will sing at 7 p.m. today at New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene in Pinch.

The Old Time Gospel Quartet: will sing at 7 p.m. Monday at Lucy Wilson Baptist Church, Wills Creek, Elkview.

Ernie Haase and Signature Sound: will sing at 6 p.m. March 2 at West Virginia Park Music Hall, One Pumpkin Way, Milton. Doors open at 5 pm. Red Oak Christian Community Church: will have a song and prayer service at 7 p.m. today at the church. Old Cross Roads will sing. Pastors are Victor Keathley and Roy Jarrell.

The West Virginians of Alderson-Broaddus College: will appear at three concerts at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane. The 16-member group's first concert will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 3; and 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the new church sanctuary.

The Redeemed of Parkersburg: will sing at 7 p.m. today at Fisher Memorial Church. Freeman Newhouse, the Fisher Memorial Quartet and choir will also sing. Refreshments will be served in the Family Center following the sing. The church is located 1/2 mile on Dudden Fork Road, off Goldtown Exit of Interstate 77.

Reach By Faith Ministries: will present the 15th Annual Thanksgiving Gospel Sing and Veterans Day Celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Old Main Building, Old Main Drive, Summersville. Singers are Ron Shamblin, the Cross Bearers Trio, The Pomeroys, Gary and Brenda Perrine, Martha Bell and The Thanksgiving Gospel Choir. The Veterans Museum located inside the Old Main Building will be open to the community. Admission is free, however, a love offering will be received.

Revivals:

Revival services: will begin at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Belle Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. David Gallimore. The revival continues through Wednesday. Services will be held 6 p.m. Sunday, 7 p.m. Monday, 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday (trick or treat night), and 7 p.m. Wednesday. Special singing will be presented by the Rev. Sandy Burdette. Children's services will be held each night and a bon fire will be featured on Wednesday.

New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene: will conduct revival services with Dr. Mervin Smith, district superintendent of the West Virginia South Church of the Nazarene, today and Sunday. Services are 7 p.m. today and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday. For information, call the church at 304-965-3303.

Elkridge Community Church: will have revival services at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 and 3 at the church. Evangelist will be the Rev. Orville Syner. Directions: from Montgomery, take W.Va. 61 South and go approximately 3 miles. Turn right on Armstrong Creek Road, approximately 5 miles. Turn right on Elkridge Road and go approximately 2 miles. Emma Chapel United Methodist Church: will hold a revival at 7 p.m. Nov. 4-7 at the church. Youth Night is Nov. 4 with Jonathan Dierdorff; Nov. 5, will be the Rev. Steve Rhodes; Nov. 6 and 7 will be the Rev. Ed Grant. There will be special singing nightly. Pastor is the Rev. Wayne Hooper.

Fresh Fire Ministries: will continue the Second Annual Fresh Fire Crusade: A Prophetic Explosion, today and Sunday at Living Water Worship Centre, 513 Patrick St. The theme is "The Last Outpour." A special service: will be held in honor of Leroy Robinson, choir director of First Baptist Church of Vandalia, will be held at 6 p.m. today at the church, 1500 Mountain Road. St. Paul Baptist Church Men of Faith of City of Refuge Church will be guests. A service will also be held 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church, 432 Shrewsbury St. Choirs will perform. Featured will be First Baptist Church Praise Team, Shabach "Praise," Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus, Metropolitan Baptist Church, Ebenezer Trio and Greater Emmanuel Mime.

First Presbyterian Church,: Leon Sullivan Way, will feature guest speaker Dr. Madan Bhasin, Chemical Engineer, retired form Union Carbide/DOW, at 4 p.m. Sunday in Room 204 of the activities building. His topic will be "My Faith and Family Values." Dr. Bhasin is a native of Pakistan, grew up in India, is a member of the Hindu faith and a founding member of the India Center in Charleston. The talk is part of the church's Lay Academy focusing on "How Shall We Love our Neighbors as Ourself, when our neighbors may be different from us?" The event is free.

Corenne Smith, an American Baptist missionary in Campinas Brazil,: will be a guest speaker at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, 2150 Mount Vernon Road, Hurricane, during the church's annual Mission's Conference. Smith and her husband, Philip, lead a ministry, "Hope Unlimited for Children," that rescues children from the city streets, and operate for youth ages 8-18, two ranches and a school. Also appearing at the conference via Skype will be J.R. DeGuzman, a Baptist missionary in Batangas, the Phillippines. DeGuzman received ministerial training in the U.S., returned to the Phillipines to establish a Baptist Church. His parents and a sister were killed last spring allegedly by opponents of evangelical Christianity. Several exhibits will be on display, featuring the church's support of missions and missionaries in Latvia, Russia, Japan, Mexico, Israel, Brazil and the Phillippines. A dinner will be held in the church Fellowship Hall following the service.

Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church,: 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. Sunday. The morning worship will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jason C. Black preaching. The evening Sunday service begins at 6 p.m. with the church singers/choir singing and Pastor Jason C. Black preaching. Prayer meeting and youth group meetings begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

A Youth and Teen service: will have a Trunk or Treat beginning 4:30 p.m. Sunday on the parking lot of Lucy Wilson Baptist Church, Wills Creek, Elkview. Candy, games and a hayride will be featured. The Upper Kanawha Valley Minister and Deacons Fellowship: will hold its Fourth Sunday Fellowship service at 7 p.m. Sunday at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Carbondale. Speaker will be Pastor Robert Morton, pastor of Mount Zion Baptist Church.

A fellowship meeting: will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Little Creek Freewill Baptist Church. The Tabb Family from Calhoun, Ga., will sing. Sean Tabb will preach.

Fisher Memorial Church: will celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day in honor of its pastor, the Rev. Aaron Finney on Sunday at the church located 1/2 mile on Dudden Road off Goldtown Exit of Interstate 77. The day begins with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Pastor Finney will speak at the 11:10 service. Dinner will be served at noon in the Family Center. Pastor Finney is married to Melissa Humphreys Finney and they have a daughter, Grace Ann.

Evangelistic services: will be held 11 and 6 p.m. Sunday and continuing at 7 p.m. Daily, Monday through Thursday at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 701 MacCorkle Ave. St. Albans, one mile west of Winfield Road. Pilgrim Home Missionary Baptist Church,: located at 7015 Kanawha St., St. Albans, will celebrate their annual Deacon and Deaconess Day at 11 a.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Ronald English.
