Revival services: will be held at 7 p.m. nightly Sunday through Friday at Big Bottom Church, Campbell's Creek. The Rev. T.D. Burgess will be evangelist and there will be special singing.
Emmanuel Baptist Church,: 1401 Washington St. W., will have its Harvest Time revival at 7 p.m. nightly, Nov. 11-14 at the church. Speaker will be Dr. Dan Light. Special singing will include The West Virginians, Jim Downey and Friends, EBC Chancel Choir, EBC Worship Team and others. Scarberry preaching. Evening worship will be held at 6 p.m. with an Old Fashion Meeting with oil lamps (no electric lights). Wear bibbed overhauls, bonnets and long dresses. Theresa Jeffries will sing and Pastor Jason C. Black will preach at the prayer meeting. The Youth Group will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bill Napier preaching.
The Deacons and Deaconess: of Levi First Missionary Baptist Church, 5125 Church Drive, Rand, will have their annual Candlelight Service at 5 p.m. Nov. 11 at the church. The Rev. Clifford Sherrod, choir and congregation of Community Missionary Baptist Church will be guests.

The Achievers Class: of the Fifth Avenue Church of God in South Charleston: will open its Clothes Closet from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 17. Clothes are free to families and individuals in need. A hot dog and bake sale: will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4606 Kanawha Turnpike, South Charleston. Hot dogs with homemade chili and all the fixings will be offered as well as whole pies and cakes for sale.
First lady Renea Crozier and the Women With Abundant Life,: 1534 Washington St. E., will have a free event for all females titled, "Its Time 2 Fight," at 7 p.m. on Friday. Learn spiritual warfare strategies from Tracie Greene, Pamela Haley, Wanda Hightower, Robin Saunders and Pamela Whitestone. Reach By Faith Ministries: will present the 15th Annual Thanksgiving Gospel Sing and Veterans Day Celebration beginning at 6 p.m. Nov. 10 in the Old Main Building, Old Main Drive, Summersville. Singers are Ron Shamblin, the Cross Bearers Trio, The Pomeroys, Gary and Brenda Perrine, Martha Bell and The Thanksgiving Gospel Choir. The Veterans Museum located inside the Old Main Building will be open to the community. Admission is free, however, a love offering will be received.
The Clendenin Community Chorus: will have its 74th annual performance of Handel's Christmas oratorio, "The Messiah," at 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at Clendenin United Methodist Church, 121 Koontz Ave., Clendenin. The Messiah chorus will feature more than 20 vocalists. The chorus is conducted by Dr. H.G. Young III, and accompanied by Betty Greene on piano. The performance will conclude with Handel's most famous individual work, "Hallelujah." A nursery is available and a reception will follow in the church parish hall. The church is wheelchair-accessible on the north side of the church with the elevator door located under the portico. Anyone interested in performing in "The Messiah" can attend rehearsals from 2 to 4 p.m. Sundays, beginning Nov. 4 the church.
