Holiday programs/events:
Loudendale Church of the Nazarene: will hold its Christmas Cantata at 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 and at 6 p.m. on Dec. 9 at the church.
Burke Methodist Church: will present a Christmas program titled "What's Missing?" written by Barbara Tenney, at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the church, located across Camp Creek Bridge at Procious. Pastor is Allen Jones.
Asbury United Methodist Church: will have a Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the church, 501 Elizabeth St. Santa Claus will visit from 2 to 4 p.m. today. The Clothes Closet will also be open and free clothing and books will be offered. Toys, decorations, local crafts, baked goods, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy and antiques will be featured at the bazaar at reasonable prices. Table rental is available. Call David at 304-345-6934.
A Merry Christmas Concert: will be featured at 5 p.m. Sunday at Shiloh Baptist Church, 306 Washington St. E. Pastor is Lenorris Dixon. Tim Courts, Mark Holmes and Shiloh Baptist Choir will be featured.
The Community Choir: will present "A Child Is Born" cantata at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the First Baptist Church of Racine.
Glasgow Church of the Nazarene: will be having a New Years Eve Gospel Sing at 7 p.m. Dec. 31 at the church. The Laborers Quartet will be featured. The sing will dismiss before midnight so everyone can bring in the New Year. The church will also be serving refreshments following the service. The First Baptist Church of Racine: will hold their annual Christmas Eve service on at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 24 at the church. Everyone is invited to help celebrate what Christmas means - the Birth of Our Lord and Savior.
The Rock Branch Independent Church: will sponsor a Drive Thru Live Nativity from 6:30 to 8:15 p.m. on Dec. 15, 16 and 17 at the church, 417 Woodland Drive, Nitro.
Miscellaneous:
The Achievers Class of the Fifth Avenue Church of God in South Charleston: will open its Clothes Closet from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 15 at the church. Clothes are free to families and individuals in need. Visitors should enter the church from the E Street side of the building. Free parking is available in the rear of the church. New Horizon Worship Center,: 927 Cross Lanes Drive, Cross Lanes, will sponsor The Lil Angels Smile Great George Walker Giveaway from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the center. Everything is free to those in need. Items include clothing of all sizes, furniture, toys, electronics, appliances, household and Christmas decorations and more. Free coffee and donuts will be available.

St. Paul United Methodist Church,: 4606 Kanawha Turnpike, South Charleston, will continue its special Christmas sermon series titled "Publicizing Christmas," about the true meaning of the Christmas story and how it is relevant today. For information, call 304-545-1678.
Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church,: 5470 West Pea Ridge Road, Huntington, will have Sunday school at 10 a.m. and the morning worship baptizing service at 11 a.m. The evening service begins at 6 p.m. with the Church Singers or Church Choir singing and Pastor Jason C. Black preaching. A prayer meeting and youth group meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
