Ice storm warning issued for some W.Va. counties

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The National Weather Service issued an ice storm warning in the mountains and several Southern West Virginia counties for Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Freezing rain in Pocahontas County will be the main threat, according to the weather service.

McDowell and Wyoming counties could see ice change to rain by mid- to late morning Tuesday. Pocahontas and eastern Randolph County, which are also under a winter storm warning, will have ice into the early afternoon, the release states. The winter storm warning also extends into parts of McDowell County.
