Law enforcement agencies across the U.S. will be taking part in a National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 27. The event provides a safe option to dispose of unused or expired medications to help prevent prescription drug abuse.
All personal identifying information from the prescription bottles should be removed or blackened out with a marker. Special collection containers will be available and those wishing to keep their bottles can empty their medications into the containers.
