"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted." -- Aesop
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Our stories highlighting the summer camps sponsored by the Gazette Charities Send-A-Child-To-Camp Fund are coming to a close. But there's still time to give, and we still have a long way to go to reach our goal.
After the third week of the fundraising campaign, generous readers have donated more than $13,700 to help children attend camp this summer - more than $5,400 just this week.
That means many children who otherwise couldn't afford to attend camp will now be able to take in the sights and sounds of a West Virginia camp -- whether it be one centered on arts, the outdoors, scouting or a combination.
Unfortunately, without the donations of many more bighearted readers, some children will have to go without a camp experience this year.
Please consider donating (see donation coupon), and know that every penny you give goes to camp scholarships. No donation is too small. The Gazette covers all administrative costs of the fund.
Here is a list of this week's donors:

Martha Sandy, $50
