CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A man who State Police say had nearly 300 marijuana plants in his basement was in jail Monday.
Sgt. Michael Baylous said Cpl. R.H. Greene and J.J. Overbaugh of the Quincy State Police detachment went to the Holly Grove home of Nathan Lee King Jr. about 1 p.m. Sunday and asked permission to search his house.
Baylous said troopers found 296 marijuana plants in the basement.
King, 50, was charged with cultivation of marijuana and was in the South Central Regional Jail on Monday.
