Democrats Sue Thorn (U.S. House, 1st District), Nick Rahall (U.S. House, 3rd District), Natalie Tennant (secretary of state), Glen Gainer (auditor), Darrell McGraw (attorney general) and John Perdue (treasurer) and Republicans John Raese (U.S. Senate), David McKinley (U.S. House, 1st District), Brian Savilla (secretary of state), Larry Faircloth (auditor), Patrick Morrissey (attorney general) and Allen Loughry and John Yoder (state Supreme Court) had no opposition on the ballot. No Republican was on the ballot for agriculture commissioner, but state party leaders have said they will place Kent Leonhardt on the general election ballot in November.
