Ind. man's body found under New River Gorge Bridge
An Indiana man died Tuesday after apparently jumping off of the New River Gorge Bridge.
FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. -- An Indiana man died Tuesday after apparently jumping off of the New River Gorge Bridge.
Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said authorities got a call about an abandoned car on the bridge at about 5 a.m. Tuesday. Fayette County deputies, park rangers and members of the Fayetteville Fire Department conducted a search and found the body of a 27-year-old New Albany, Ind., man under the bridge.
Police are not yet releasing the man's name. The body was taken to Tyree's Funeral Home in Oak Hill pending an examination by the state medical examiner.
The investigation continues.
