CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies are looking for two men who stole a truck in Elkview on Thursday.

According to Lt. Bryan Stover of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, deputies went to a home on Timberdale Drive in Elkview about 3 p.m. Thursday to respond to a call about a burglary in progress. When they got there, a woman who lived at the house said she discovered two unknown men in her garage.

The men, who are thought to be in their 20s, ran away when she confronted them, Stover said. One jumped into the victim's dark blue 2009 Ford F-150 pickup truck and sped away. The other drove off in a burgundy 2008 Ford F-150 that the pair had apparently arrived in.

The woman wrote down the license plate number of the 2008 Ford, which turned out to have been recently stolen from Kenova, Stover said.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to call 304-357-0169.
