CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha Count sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who robbed a gas station in Big Chimney on Sunday.

Lt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department said a man walked into the Exxon station in Big Chimney about 5:30 p.m. and told the clerk that "something bad" would happen unless he was given money. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot toward the Big Chimney bridge.

Deputies are looking for a white male in his early 20s, about six feet, five inches tall and slender. He was last seen wearing gray basketball shorts, a long-sleeved polo style shirt and a black silky hood with eye holes.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call 304-357-0169.
