CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County officials were on the scene of a wreck this morning that involved a Kanawha County sheriff's deputy.

A sheriff's department spokesman said a woman apparently ran a red light at Clendenin and Quarrier streets about 9:45 a.m. and hit a cruiser being driven by Sgt. Eric Drennan of the sheriff's department.

Drennan was not seriously injured, but was going to a local hospital as a precaution.
