Arrest made in Pinch shooting

Kanawha County Detective John Ratliff takes photographs of evidence from the scene of a shooting at the intersection of Pinewood and South Pinch roads in Pinch Tuesday morning. One man was wounded in the shooting, which resulted from an argument.

Deputies recovered a .40-caliber Springfield XD pistol they believe was used in the shooting.

They were both driving when they saw each other near Pinewood Road. They exited their vehicles and began arguing. Soon after, Burdette was shot.

Deputies found a .40-caliber Springifield XD semiautomatic pistol lying beside Burdette's red Chevrolet Tracker, which was parked near the crime scene at Raceway Video and Tanning.

Deputies believe the handgun belongs to Roush.

Burdette remained under evaluation Tuesday afternoon. Roush was free on bail.
