Shooting deaths timeline

Police released a timeline of the events the night of Sept. 12 that led to the shooting death of Brian Good and Patrolman Jerry Jones. Below is a compilation of that timeline, along with other facts released at the press conference.

Saturday, Sept. 12

9:18 p.m. - Good rams his truck into a car owned by a former girlfriend at the corner of Ohio and Lee streets in Charleston.

10:03 p.m. - Charleston Police car 102 attempts to stop Good at Park Avenue and Virginia Street for missing car lights. Good flees the scene and the chase is quickly terminated.

10:05 p.m. - Police reinitiate pursuit of Good's car after realizing that he was involved in the earlier incident. He is last seen exiting at the Oakwood exit of Interstate 64.

Sunday, Sept. 13

12:43 a.m. - Kanawha County Metro 911 gets a call of a possible drunken driver driving south on Interstate 77.

12:51 a.m. - Good's vehicle is spotted at Carroll Terrace Apartments.

12:52 a.m. - Good's vehicle strikes another vehicle as police attempt to stop him. The pursuit begins.

12:57 a.m. - Good turns onto Mill Creek Road with police behind him.

12:58 a.m. - Good attempts to strike a Charleston police cruiser.
