St. Mary's to expand into Putnam County
HURRICANE, W.Va. - Huntington-based St. Mary's Medical Center is expanding into Putnam County.
St. Mary's will hold a groundbreaking ceremony today for a new 4,000-square-foot family-care center in Hurricane. The new building, located on Willow Lane, will employ a medical staff of about five people, including Dr. Christina Webb as the full-time physician.
The facility is scheduled to open in the spring.
St. Mary's is always looking for ways to offer more-convenient care to its patients, said Doug Korstanje, director of marketing and community relations at the medical center. With the family-care center, residents can visit their family practitioner close to home with the full backing of St. Mary's resources, he said.
St. Mary's has three family-care centers in Cabell and Wayne counties.
