Putnam woman arrested in shooting incident

HURRICANE, W.Va. -- A Putnam County woman was arrested Sunday for allegedly shooting her boyfriend in front of her daughter.

Elizabeth Glover, 30, of Hurricane shot her boyfriend in the neck when he showed up at work with a puppy for her daughter, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

Glover told police that she was afraid her boyfriend was going to take his daughter. The victim's name has not been released, but deputies confirmed that the man is alive but in critical condition.

Glover was charged with malicious wounding and taken to Western Regional Jail.
