Putnam grand jury returns 39 indictments

WINFIELD, W.Va. -- A Putnam County grand jury returned indictments against 39 people Tuesday, and Putnam County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Sorsaia's office released the list Wednesday.

The grand jury suspects by indictments when it believes there is enough evidence of a crime to merit a jury trial. The charges are not findings of guilt.

Roger L. Akers, Hurricane, prohibited from possessing firearm, brandishing and wanton endangerment; Richmond P. Armstrong, Hurricane, two counts forgery, six counts uttering a forged writing; Robert A. Armstrong II, Hurricane, grand larceny; Brian J. Bailey, Buffalo, conspiracy to deliver controlled substance, conspiracy to posses controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; Wesley E. Bias, Hurricane, delivery of a controlled substance; Timothy W. Burker, St. Albans, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance;

Dana T. Casto, Given, four counts possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance; Dustin K. Clark, Hurricane, entering without breaking; Ashley D. Cobb, Eleanor, fleeing vehicle from a law enforcement officer while under the influence of alcohol, driving while under the influence of alcohol, second offense, speeding, destruction of property; Shawn N. Davis, Scott Depot, two counts delivery of a controlled substance; Kenneth J. Demoss, Buffalo, conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance and conspiracy to posses a controlled substance with intent to deliver;

Jennifer C. Ebeling, Huntington, twenty-five counts forgery, obtaining money by false pretense and fraudulent scheme; Louis B. Ferraro, St. Albans, attempt to operate clandestine drug laboratory, attempt to manufacture a controlled substance and possession of a substance containing ephedrine and/or pseudoephedrine with the intent to use in the manufacture of meth; Mark B. Francisco, Hurricane, delivery of a controlled substance; Wesley S. Harris, Chesapeake Ohio, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and shoplifting; Sarah M. Hatfield, Red House, two counts petit larceny, 5 counts forgery, five counts uttering a forged writing, 5 counts use of a fraudulent device;

Benjamin A. Hensley, Hometown, daytime burglary, destruction of property, and grand larceny; James E. Hensley, St. Albans, attempt to operate a clandestine drug laboratory and attempt to manufacture a controlled substance; Gary W. Jackson, Scott Depot, attempting to operate a clandestine drug laboratory, possession of a substance to be used as precursor to manufacture meth, and attempt to manufacture a controlled substance; Glen M. Jividen, Red House, conspiracy to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance;
