Hurricane house destroyed by fire

HURRICANE, W.Va. -- A fire destroyed a one-story house in downtown Hurricane on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters responded to a call at 11:37 a.m. at 403 Circle Drive, according to Putnam County 911 dispatchers.

The occupants were able to make it out of the house, which is a total loss, a firefighter said. The cause of the fire is still undetermined, he said.
