Police seek information on Putnam home invasions

HURRICANE, W.Va. -- Hurricane Police suspect the same man is behind a string a home invasions in Hurricane, Mayor Scott Edwards said Saturday.

A man entered a home along Lower Coach Road early Saturday and robbed the homeowner at gunpoint, Edwards said.

Hurricane Police believe the suspect is connected to two similar invasions in the Kingwood Estates area.

Edwards described the suspect as a white male, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with dark hair and a thin build. He was last seen wearing camouflage pants, a black hooded sweatshirt and a camouflage jacket.
