WINFIELD, W.Va. -- Two men police believe are responsible for a string of car break-ins in Winfield were arrested Tuesday and a warrant was issued for another suspect.
David Dewayne Fields, 25, of Charleston, and Eric Dalton Parsons, 18, of St. Albans, were both charged with conspiracy, according to criminal complaints filed in Putnam County Magistrate Court. Parsons was also charged with entry of a building other than a dwelling and grand and petit larceny.

A warrant also was issued for Dennis Michael Lottig of Jefferson, according to court documents.
On Feb. 7, Winfield police were informed that a resident of Westland Estates reported their vehicle had been broken into and that a purse containing money, gift cards, a GPS and a Visa debit card were taken, the complaint states.
Winfield Police Chief John Perrine wrote in the complaint that Fields admitted dropping Parsons and Lottig off at a Winfield subdivision and waiting while they "car hopped."
Police say Lottig and Parsons made purchases with the debit card at the Walmart in Nitro and that Parsons had unsuccessfully tried to purchase a $500 gift card.
Fields also told police, according to the complaint, that the men then drove to Speedway in Cross Lanes and that he attempted to purchase two $500 Visa gift cards with the stolen debit card.
Parsons had been released from the Western Regional Jail on Wednesday, but Fields was still being held.
