CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police have arrested a South Charleston man in connection with the stabbing of two men Saturday in Putnam County, said Putnam Sheriff Mark Smith.
George Franklin Jeffrey, 21, was charged Tuesday with two counts of malicious wounding for allegedly stabbing Jeremy Stephen Pullen and Robert Eric Peters, both 22, of Poca, about 11 p.m. Saturday near the Rock Branch Exxon station, he said.
Jeffrey got into an argument with Pullen and Peters, and the incident escalated from there, Smith said.
Both were stabbed with a hunting knife, Smith said. They were taken to CAMC General Hospital.
Jeffrey is being taken to Western Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond, Smith said.
