CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Because of a reporter's error, an item in the Statehouse Beat column in Sunday's Gazette-Mail incorrectly cited Cara Unger, wife of Senate Majority Leader John Unger, as the author of an email sent to legislators opposing the public education reform bill. The e-mail's author is Shannon Unger, an elementary school teacher who lives in Martinsburg. John Unger said he and the email's author are not related.
