MILTON -- A Milton man was killed early Wednesday in a single-vehicle wreck in this Cabell County town, police said.
Steven McCormick, 21, apparently lost control of his 2004 Chevrolet Colorado pickup at about 5 a.m. while traveling west in the 1500 block of 2nd Street, according to Chief G.F. Mullins of the Milton Police Department.
McCormick left the road on the right side, then crossed back and left the road on the left side. The truck hit a tree and a utility pole, snapping the pole, according to police. McCormick was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Cabell County paramedics.
The truck's speed caused the wreck, according to police.
