CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Charleston woman was arrested Wednesday after allegedly stabbing her husband during a fight in their West Side apartment.

Shawn Tennant, 25 and Shomon Tennant, 26, were arguing in their Randolph Street apartment at about 7 p.m. when Shomon Tennant allegedly stabbed her husband with a kitchen knife, according to Sgt. Bobby Eggleton of the Charleston Police Department.

Shawn Tennant was slashed twice on the right arm, Eggleton said.

Shomon Tennant was arrested and charged with malicious wounding. She was free on bond Thursday.

Eggleton said Shawn Tennant is not cooperating with police.
