CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police said a juvenile male fatally shot a 45-year-old Mason County man Sunday.

The teen, whose name is not being released, was charged with first-degree murder, grand larceny and petit larceny, according to a news release by the Mason County Sheriff's Department.

Police found Ronald Lee Jarrell dead from gunshot wounds at his residence at 9100 Ripley Road in Mason County, according to the release.

Police would not confirm if the teen was related to the victim.

Witnesses identified the juvenile and told police he had fled to Cabell County. The Huntington Police Department later located and arrested him.

The teen is currently being held in an unnamed juvenile detention center awaiting an appearance before a Mason County Circuit Court judge, the news release said.
