CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are looking for a suspect who they said asked an East End man for help and then robbed him at gunpoint Monday night.

At about 8:30 p.m., a man went to a house in the 1300 block of Lewis Street and told the male homeowner that his car was broken down and he needed to use the phone, Charleston Police Sgt. Bobby Eggleton said.

The man, while using the victim's phone, asked to use the restroom and then he emerged from that room with a gun, Eggleton said.

He said the suspect took about $25 from the victim and then fled with his phone.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s who is about 6-feet tall. He was wearing a tan-colored Carhartt Jacket.
