CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- West Virginia State Police are investigating a school bus accident that injured eight people in Jefferson County.

Media outlets say another vehicle hit the bus on W.Va. 9 on Tuesday afternoon.

Jefferson County Emergency Services Agency deputy director Ed Hannon says the students suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital to be examined.

Jefferson County Schools Superintendent Susan Walls says the students attend Washington High School.

Both drivers also were taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries wasn't immediately available.
