PITTSBURGH -- A Pennsylvania man wanted in a 2010 slaying in Clarksburg was arrested at his home Friday by U.S. Marshals.
Police in Clarksburg issued an arrest warrant Sept. 19 for Darnell "Nish" Carlton Bouie, 35, on a first-degree murder charge.
Police said Bouie and Ennis Charles Payne, 37, fatally shot Jayar "Trevor" Poindexter on Jan. 13, 2010, on Overlook Drive in Clarksburg.
Payne turned himself into police Sept. 18 and he was charged with first-degree murder.
U.S. Marshals negotiated Bouie's surrender with his attorney and he was supposed to turn himself in Sept. 21 in Pittsburgh, according to a news release issued by the U.S. Marshals service. However, Bouie didn't show up, according to the release. Marshals surrounded Bouie's home in Butler, Pa., Friday and he was arrested without incident.
Bouie was expected to go before a Pennsylvania magistrate Friday night. He was in custody awaiting an extradition hearing back to Clarksburg, according to the release.
Payne is being held without bail in North Central Regional Jail awaiting trial.
