PINCH, W.Va. -- Police say two Kanawha County men broke into Pinch Elementary School twice this month to steal a laptop, prescription pills and food.
Kanawha County Sheriff's Capt. Sean Crosier said Larry Allen Boner, 18, and Cody Alan Fields, 23, both of Slack's Branch Road, were each charged Friday with grand larceny and two counts of breaking and entering.
The men broke into the school on Oct. 10 and took the computer, pills and small food items, Crosier said. They allegedly came back Thursday and tried to take hot dogs, hamburgers and yogurt, but fled empty-handed when a patrolling deputy arrived.
The men were caught on the school's surveillance camera and identified. Crosier said the men confessed Friday and returned the laptop to investigators.
Boner and Fields were arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and each ordered held in South Central Regional Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bail.
