POINT PLEASANT, W.Va.-- A Mason County woman died Wednesday after her car collided with two tractor-trailers and she was pinned underneath one of the trucks, police said.

Ashley Morris, of Mason, was driving her 2000 Mercury Sable south along U.S. 35 near Point Pleasant when she crossed into the northbound lane at about 3:40 p.m., according to a news release from the Mason County Sheriff's Department.

Morris collided head-on with a tractor-trailer owned by Epes Transport System of Greensboro, N.C., and was then hit again by a tractor-trailer owned by Valley Systems of Chatfield Minn., according to the release.

Morris' car became pinned under the second truck and paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene. Two passengers in her car were treated at the scene and released.
