POCA, W.Va. -- A man was shot in the leg Monday morning at his home on Dupont Road in Poca, according to Putnam County sheriff's deputies.

Charleston police arrested Andrew DeWayne Hodge, 29, of Frame Street in Charleston. Police say Hodge shot Colter Anderson, 29, at about 4:45 a.m., according to Sgt. Lisa Arthur with the Putnam County Sheriff's Department.

The "ambush-style shooting" was over a domestic dispute, police believe.

According to a criminal complaint on file in Putnam County Magistrate Court, Anderson left a trailer and was confronted by Hodge, who had previously dated his sister.

Anderson said Hodge pointed a revolver at his head and his chest and tried to shoot but the gun misfired, the complaint states.

Anderson eventually was shot in the leg, and taken to CAMC General Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Hodge was arraigned in Kanawha County Magistrate Court and charged with attempted murder. His bail was set at $100,000.
