Fayette deputies search for armed robbery suspect

OAK RIDGE, W.Va. -- Fayette County sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who is believed to have robbed Ball's Grocery Store in Oak Ridge with a knife Monday evening.

Responding sheriff's deputies found that masked male had entered the store and demanded money from the register while wielding what is believed to be a knife.

He obtained an undisclosed amount of money from the clerk before he fled the scene.

Police identified the suspect as Randy Colton Treadway, 20, of Beckwith. They believe he may have fled the scene in a white 1999 Jeep Cherokee with the West Virginia license plate number: 3TC563.

Treadway is described as a thin-built white male, 5-feet 8-inches tall with dark hair and eyes and weighing 150 pounds.

Armed robbery charges are pending.
