Vacant house burns in Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A vacant house on Garfield Street was completed consumed by fire Saturday evening.

Assistant Chief Owen Hawk of the Charleston Fire Department said there were no injuries from the fire, and he said the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Firefighters got the call to go to Garfield Street sometime after 7 p.m., he said.
