LEWISBURG, W.Va. -- Police have identified a man found dead in Lewisburg last week.

Thomas Cardis, 40, of Shepherdstown, was found dead in an alleyway along Court Street at about 12:30 p.m. Nov. 9, according to Lewisburg Police Chief Tim Stover.

Although Cardis had been staying in Shepherdstown, his parents live in Lewisburg.

Stover said foul play is not suspected in Cardis' death. The body was sent to the State Medical Examiner's office for an autopsy.
