Name released in fatal Mason County crash

POINT PLEASANT, W.Va. -- Police have released the name of a Mason County man who died in a car accident in Point Pleasant Saturday morning.

Steven Potts, 37, of Henderson, was driving a 2001 Chevrolet pickup along Charleston Road just before 6 a.m. when he ran off the roadway and crashed into a ditch. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to a news release issued by the Mason County Sheriff's Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
