Man found dead in road with gunshot wound
Shooting is sixth homicide in Charleston this year

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on Charleston's West Side.

Around 2 a.m., police were called to 924 Main St. for a domestic disturbance call, according to Sgt. Eric Hodges with the Charleston Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a black male lying in the street with at least one gunshot wound, according to Hodges.

Criminal Investigation Division detectives are investigating the incident.

The shooting is the sixth homicide in Charleston this year.
