Two people stabbed in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, W.Va. --Two people were stabbed during an early morning altercation in downtown Charleston.

A Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatcher said Charleston Police responded to a stabbing in the 200 block of Capitol Street around 2:50 a.m. Saturday.

One patient was possibly stabbed in the head with an unknown object, the dispatcher said. It was unclear where the other person was stabbed.

Both stabbing victims were taken to Charleston Area Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Charleston Police are investigating.
