Thirty-eight-year-old Rogina Faye Helmick pleaded guilty in April to felony embezzlement and received a one- to 10-year sentence. She was charged with embezzling more than $107,000 from Select In-Home Services.
The Inter-Mountain reports that Randolph County Circuit Judge Jaymie Godwin Wilfong suspended the sentence Wednesday. Wilfong ordered Helmick to spend five years on supervised probation.
Helmick's attorney, James Hawkins, told the judge that she has paid $3,833 in restitution since June. Hawkins said Helmick needs to be out of prison and employed to expedite the restitution.
