CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two people have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries near Clendenin.
Capt. Sean Crosier, of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, said a residence off U.S. 119 near Clendenin has been burglarized at least four times over the last two weeks. He said two people were arrested Wednesday in connection with the break-ins, which netted the thieves an all-terrain vehicle and furniture.
Billy Woods Jr., 44, of Falling Rock, and Paulette Dickey, 52, of Charleston, were arrested Wednesday and charged with daytime burglary, Crosier said.
Deputies are looking for other suspects in connection with the burglaries and have gotten surveillance photographs of two vehicles that may have been involved. Deputies are looking for a white Chevrolet Z-71 step side pickup truck with tinted windows and a dark blue Chevrolet Blazer missing the front grille, Crosier said.
Crosier said some of the items stolen included Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals awarded posthumously to the victims' daughter, a 23-year-old U.S. Air Force bomb disposal expert who was killed in Iraq.
