Two dead after early morning accident in Lincoln County

HAMLIN, W.Va. -- Two people are dead after an early morning crash in Lincoln County.

West Virginia State Police responded to a crash around 12:30 a.m. Saturday along W.Va. 10 in the West Hamlin area, according to Lincoln County 911 dispatchers.

A dispatcher said the driver somehow lost control of their vehicle and hit a parked tractor-trailer.

The driver and a passenger were both transported to an area hospital where they later died, the dispatcher said.

State Police are investigating the accident.
