Suspect arrested in Clendenin break-in

CLENDENIN, W.Va. -- A Clay County man was arrested over the weekend after Kanawha County deputies allegedly found him with items stolen from a garage near Clendenin.

Deputies went to a home on Bufflick Drive near Clendenin on Saturday afternoon after a witness reported someone breaking into a neighbor's garage, according to Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies found James Stephen Myers Jr., 36, of Bomont, at a Save-A-Lot grocery store in Clendenin, Crosier said. Myers allegedly had a loaded rifle and other items allegedly stolen from the garage.

Myers was arrested and charged with breaking and entering. He is free on bond.
