Kanawha County sheriff's deputies arrested four people allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab inside a Sissonville home Friday.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Kanawha County sheriff's deputies arrested four people allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab inside a Sissonville home Friday.
Cpl. Brian Humphreys, of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, said deputies received a tip regarding a stolen vehicle at 1576 Clearview Heights Road, Sissonville. After obtaining a search warrant, deputies allegedly found evidence of a meth lab there, and technicians were called to collect evidence.
Deputies arrested Michael A. Beane, 19, Steven M. Henson, 26, Edward C. Lyons, 29, and Keith E. Nichols, 19, all of Charleston. The four were charged with operating a clandestine laboratory, a felony. Lyons was also wanted on a felony probation violation stemming from charges related to a separate meth lab.
The four were being held in South Central Regional Jail on Friday in lieu of $25,000 bail each. The house belongs to Henson's grandparents, who were sleeping inside the house, Humphreys said. Deputies also recovered the stolen vehicle, but it was unclear Friday who would be charged in connection with that. Humphreys expects additional charges to come.
