CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A woman who called police for a ride was instead taken to jail after it was found she was wanted in Ohio.

Robin R. Davis, 41, of Cleveland, Ohio, called 911 from a gas station at the Eden's Fork exit of Interstate 79 at about 9 p.m. Thursday asking for help, according to Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department. When Deputy C.D. Lyons got there, Davis asked for a ride to Lincoln County.

Crosier said Lyons checked Davis' drivers license and discovered she was allegedly wanted in Ohio on a parole violation.

Davis was taken to the South Central Regional Jail to await extradition.
