CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Charleston police have arrested a man believed involved in the robbery of a Kanawha City video lottery parlor early this week.

Troy Allen White, 43, of 6558 1/2 MacCorkle Ave., was arrested Tuesday and charged with second-degree robbery, according to a criminal complaint on file in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

According to the complaint, White allegedly went into Max's Place, located at 6802 MacCorkle Ave., on Monday before allegedly telling an employee in the establishment, "I want you to be nice because I'm going to rob you."  White then allegedly grabbed the cash register as the employee slowly backed away, the complaint said.

White was allegedly armed with a large knife in his back pocket, the complaint said. According to the criminal complaint, White slammed the cash register until it opened, grabbed the cash inside and fled on foot.

White was in the South Central Regional Jail this morning with bond set at $50,000.
