CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Boone County authorities may file charges against a local man arrested in Kentucky on Tuesday for allegedly having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl.

Robert D. Stringer, 25, of Ridgeview in Boone County, was arrested in Kentucky on Tuesday on a felony charge of custodial interference, according to Boone County Chief Deputy Chad Barker. Barker said Stringer allegedly picked up a 14-year-old girl from school earlier this week and was driving her back to his home in Boone County.

Boone County authorities are also investigating the incident. Boone County Sheriff Randall White said further criminal charges may be filed against Stringer in West Virginia.
