CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Police are looking for a vehicle that allegedly struck a woman as she crossed Kanawha Boulevard in downtown Charleston on Friday.

Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers said the woman was struck as she crossed the boulevard over to Court Street at about 2:47 p.m.

The vehicle allegedly drove off heading east, dispatchers said. Charleston police officers haven't released a description of the suspect vehicle, but are searching the area.

Dispatchers said the woman was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
