VICTOR, W.Va. -- Police said a Fayette County man tried to stop firefighters from putting out a blaze that started inside his home on Wednesday.
Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters from Ansted and Nuttall were called to a house fire on Saturday Road in Victor.

Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters from Ansted and Nuttall were called to a house fire on Saturday Road in Victor.
Fayette County Sheriff Steve Kessler said in a news release that Ralph Allen Bostick stood in the middle of the road to block fire trucks and told firefighters to "let it burn."
Bostick, 50, was allegedly intoxicated and tried to walk away after firefighters got around him and extinguished the blaze.
The fire remains under investigation, but appears to have been intentionally set, Kessler said.
Deputies later discovered electricity was shut off at Bostick's home and the service had been reconnected illegally. Bostick was charged with two counts of obstructing a firefighter, defrauding a public utility and public intoxication. He remained in Southern Regional Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bail on Thursday.
